The flying club is a social club where we fly radio controlled model aircraft and gliders. There is a great interchange of ideas and information related to both building and flying the aircraft. Some of the model aircraft are built from scratch while others are manufactured kits and need only to be assembled. The club assists new members with little or no experience to enable them to master the art of flying model aircraft. The Karkloof polo fields are registered with the South African Model Aircraft Association (SAMAA)as an official venue for flying model aircraft, and the club is covered by the SAMAA insurance cover. All our members have to be paid up members of SAMAA, and any visitor wanting to fly at Karkloof has to be SAMAA registered.
The official club flying days are Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Members can fly on any other day of the week including weekends but only electric powered aircraft
