Andrew Nicholson, hailing from Karkloof, serves as the esteemed chairman of the Karkloof Country Club. With a deep-rooted passion for community engagement and outdoor activities, Andrew has dedicated himself to enhancing the club’s offerings and fostering a welcoming environment for all members. His leadership and vision play a vital role in driving initiatives that promote recreation, conservation, and social responsibility within the Karkloof region. Under his guidance, the club continues to thrive, supporting local education and community projects while providing exceptional experiences for outdoor enthusiasts.
Vice Chair: Nick Stubbs
Nick Stubbs, a dedicated local dairy farmer from Karkloof, serves as the vice chair of the Karkloof Country Club. With a strong commitment to sustainable farming practices and community involvement, Nick brings a unique perspective to the club’s leadership. His passion for agriculture and the great outdoors is reflected in his support for initiatives that promote environmental stewardship and local economic development. As vice chair, Nick plays an integral role in fostering a vibrant community spirit within the club, ensuring that it remains a cherished space for recreation and connection for all members. His active engagement in both farming and community affairs makes him a valuable asset to the Karkloof Country Club.

Jacques Theron is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with his own thriving accounting practice based in Howick, and he resides in the picturesque Karkloof Valley. As the Treasurer of the Karkloof Country Club committee, Jacques brings his financial expertise and meticulous attention to detail to ensure the club’s fiscal health and sustainability. His commitment to accurate financial management and transparency supports the club’s initiatives and enhances the overall experience for its members. Jacques is passionate about fostering community collaboration and works diligently to provide sound financial strategies that benefit both the club and its members, helping to promote a vibrant and engaging environment for all.

Taryn Scholtz, a resident of Howick, is the Secretary of the Karkloof Country Club committee and a dynamic force in the agricultural sector. Together with her husband, she runs a successful business specializing in agricultural design, development, and project management. Taryn’s keen organizational skills and passion for community engagement play a vital role in the smooth operation of the club. As Secretary, she is dedicated to ensuring effective communication and collaboration among committee members, while also promoting the club’s initiatives and events. Her commitment to both agriculture and the local community enhances the Karkloof Country Club’s mission to be a welcoming and inclusive space for all its members.
3. Social Development
At the Karkloof Country Club, we are proud to support the professional development of educators in our community. Recently, we have made a significant investment in the future of education by sponsoring Londiwe Dladla, who is now a qualified Early Childhood Development Teacher. Her passion for nurturing young minds has positively impacted the students at Hawkstone Primary School.
Alongside her, we are also supporting her assistant, Angel, who is currently pursuing her qualification in early childhood education. By covering Angel’s studies, we aim to ensure that she gains the necessary skills to become an exceptional teacher herself.
Together, Londiwe and Angel are fostering a rich learning environment that empowers the next generation, and we’re thrilled to be part of their journey.
Both educator’s salaries are funded by the Karkloof Country Club.
4. POPIA
PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION ACT 4 OF 2013
The Karkloof Country Club shall be entitled to retain copies of membership application forms submitted to it by the applicant and utilize such information/documentation when making a decision to accept the applicant as a member of the Karkloof Country Club.
The applicant has consented to their identity number being retained by the Karkloof Country Club and hereby indemnify and holds the Karkloof Country Club harmless against any claims which may arise from the directors/members/trustees.
The applicant consents to the information/documentation being supplied by the Karkloof Country Club to the Karkloof Country Club’s insurance broker and/or credit bureau from time to time, including but not limited to my/our payment history.
The applicant can confirm and/or vary his/her information by contracting the Karkloof Country Club directly.
The Karkloof Country Club processes Customer’s personal information/documentation submitted to it to fulfil its obligations in terms of this Application, provide personalized Services, communicate with Customers for marketing purposes, to send Customers promotional materials or communications regarding the Karkloof Country Club’s products and Services and to obtain feedback from Customers to improve the Karkloof Country Club’s products and Services.
The Karkloof Country Club’s authorized staff and third-party service providers may have access to Customers’ personal information, or the Karkloof Country Club may send the Customers’ personal information to third party service providers for the purposes outlined above. The Karkloof Country Club complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 and does not sell personal information and shall not disclose any Customer’s personal information to any other party unless legally obliged to do so.
